1970 Ford Mustang Grabber Special Fastback. 1 of 5120 built with the Grabber Special Value Package.
Owned since 2005. This one is registered with the Mustang Grabber Registry and registration will transfer to the new owner. For more information on Grabber Mustangs, go to
http://1970mgr.org . This Grabber has been authenticated with a Marti Report. It starts and runs and can be driven anywhere. Car won numerous local car show trophies from 2005 to 2008. It was retired from showing on October of 2008 and just street driven occasionally. Undercarriage and engine compartment reflect a street driven condition.

302 2V Windsor V8 engine. - Engine block is the original numbers matching unit with approximately 80000 miles on it (as computed from information given to me by the previous owner). The engine has original components such as autolite 2V carb, cast iron intake, original working dual advance distributor with new vacuum lines. I added the chrome air cleaner lid and valve covers. The originals are in a box and only need repainting. Oil is changed approximately every 3000 miles with Valvoline VR-1 Racing oil with zinc additive and Motorcraft FL-1 oil filter.

C-4 Automatic Transmission. - Transmission is original and has one rebuild on it.
New pan gasket, filter, modulator valve, and shift seals were recently installed.
New floor shifter bushings were installed in 2005.

Rear end ratio is 2.79 to 1.

Black standard interior with console, deluxe black shift T handle, folddown rear seat, and clock delete panel with maplight.
Seats were reupholstered in 2004.

Power Steering was added in 2007.

Brakes are factory front drum units, rebuilt in 2007.

Car was repainted in 2000 in original factory Bright Yellow (D). After I purchased the car, I installed the factory Grabber C stripe and restored the taillight panel to the Grabber specific flat black. Rear spoiler was on the car when I bought it. I added the front spoiler and rear window factory style louvers. Car currently is running 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels with B F Goodrich Radial T/A tires. A set of original sized 14 inch steel wheels and trim rings go with the car. The wheels need stripping and repainting.
Tires have less than 5000 miles on them. Magnums are 3 years old. Engine compartment was detailed in 2005.
This car does not have Air conditioning. All mechanicals and electricals function properly. This car still retains the factory buck tag.

The following items were added to the car prior to my ownership:
Black 1970 type Mach 1 stripe on it with the non functional Mach 1 hood scoop, new front coil springs, folddown rear seat assembly, new front and rear seat upholstery, 4x4 front door stereo speakers, fabric covered rear upper trapdoor panel, and rear deck lid spoiler.

The negative aspects of the car are the following:
-
This car does not have air conditioning
- Door glass is slightly scratched and aged.
- Passenger door lower edge damage was repaired in 2005 before stripes were applied. Paint was not matched perfectly.
- Floor pans should be replaced. Previous owner stored the car in a barn with leaking windshield. New floors go with the car.
- Rear quarter panels are showing small bubbles under the yellow paint in the lower quarters.
- Dash pad is cracked and is currently covered with a new dash cap. In appearance, it looks like a brand new dashpad.
- Both doors were damaged around 2000. Before the car was repainted the previous owner decided to replace them rather than repair them.

I have tried to be as complete and accurate in my description as possible.
